Director Finance - Valley Childrens Medical Group
SUMMARY: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for Valley Children’s Medical Group, this position oversees all financial functions for the Medical Foundation, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and the development of financial pro formas and business plans. This position also has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Vice President, Finance for Valley Children’s Hospital and will ensure close collaboration with the Valley Children’s Hospital’s Finance team to meet all related entity and consolidated reporting requirements.
The position provides financial direction and support to operational leaders and directs the day-to-day financial operations of the Medical Group. The incumbent will collaborate closely with Human Resources on provider compensation issues and incentive plans. This individual will timely and accurately report key performance indicators to monitor provider production and practice profitability.
This leadership role requires an experienced finance leader with deep knowledge of medical group financial management and the ability to partner effectively with multiple stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a healthcare and/or public accounting setting with a minimum of three (3) years leadership experience required. Three years of financial management experience in a large multi-disciplinary or integrated physician practice preferred. Advanced computer skills required. Technical competence in medical group financial management. Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop strong, collaborative relationships. Understanding of physician practice dynamics.
