Employee Health Nurse - Employee Health

SUMMARY: This position is accountable to provide competent nursing care for patients coming to the Employee Health Department. Services include but are not limited to TB screening, immunizations, workup for a new hire pre-employment health assessment, first aid treatment of injuries, follow up on potential exposures and nursing assessment of personal illness. Patient population can include employees, physicians, volunteers and various non-employee workers. The position requires documentation of all activities and procedures in the employee health file and electronic systems. This position practices under the direction of the Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director of Employee Health, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's polices. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/G.E.D. required, College Degree - 4 year Degree in Nursing preferred, CA RN - Reg Nurse License and BLS - Basic Life Support required, minimum one (1) year related experience required.
