Executive Director Ambulatory Services - Operations
SUMMARY: Reporting to the VP & CEO of the Medical Group, this position has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and operation of all ambulatory care programs. Participates in setting the strategic direction for clinical services ensuring on-going competitiveness and effectiveness of the Healthcare Network services. Works collaboratively with the Healthcare Network's senior leaders, the medical staff, physician groups and program management network-wide to develop and implement specific business plans to achieve the Healthcare Network's strategic goals and initiatives. Has direct accountability for the supervisors of each program and works collaboratively with medical, clinical, professional and support staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintains fiscal accountability through the development, implementation, and evaluation of annual operating and capital budgets. Provides administrative direction through the formulation of goals and strategic plans.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a Master's Degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or a related field. A national certification in administrative field is preferred such as Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE), Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FCHE), Certified Nurse Administrator (CNA). Because of the complexity of this role, it is critical that the incumbent is able to work effectively with many different constituencies, both internally and externally. Requirements for this position include strategic planning, human resources management, physician relations, contract development, financial management and business literacy, information technology understanding, organizational design and assessment. Highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills are required.
