Food Service Worker - Sanitation- Dietary

SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Department Supervisors. Obtains soiled dishes from patient units. Fills ice and dish machine in cafeteria. Washes waste receptacle lids. Pre-soaks any soiled dishes and/or utensils. Delivers patient food trays to designated nursing wings. Washes all dishes and utensils and places in them in proper storage area. Cleans and disinfects patient food carts. Obtains soiled dishes, utensils, and trays from cafeteria. Cleans garbage disposal and dish machine. Sweeps floor in dish room area. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time, either verbally or in writing, as the job necessitates.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read, write legibly, understand, and follow oral and written English instruction. Basic experience in preparing and serving in quantity. Must have knowledge of materials and methods used in large scale food production and of use and care of equipment and utensils. Must be able to follow standardized recipes. Bilingual skills desirable.

POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem, Must be available to work all shifts
