OR Tech Extern - Surgery-General - Per Diem

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for the direct and indirect care of patient's/families as assigned under the direction and supervision of the primary instruction coach, or physician and/or Registered Nurse once deemed competent in a service line. Adheres to safety standards identified within the institution to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery. Collects data pertinent to patient assessment in a systematic method emphasis on physiological, psychosocial, environmental, and cognitive patient status. The technician's practice is performed within the scope of training and in accordance with policies of Valley Children's Healthcare

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1 month Clinical Technician Training preferred
• Medical terminology preferred

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• In the process of completing Operating Room Technician training and one month completed of clinical technician training required
• BLS - Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position

POSTION DETAILS:

• Per Diem Position - Varied shifts

PAY RANGE:

• $21.00 - $28.65
