Pharmacy Fellow - Pharmacy
SUMMARY: This position is a pharmacist seeking additional specialty training and education. This position is accountable for providing safe and effective pharmaceutical care at Children's. Serves as pharmacology consultant, a patient advocate, and a fiscal conscience to the healthcare team while providing clinical services to meet the needs of patients/care providers, physicians, nurses and other healthcare team members. Processes safe and effective drug therapy through physical assessment of the patient, review of physician's orders, administration of drug therapy and measurement of outcomes. The position also includes providing clinical pharmaceutical services. The emphasis of the experience obtained is advanced education and in pediatric pharmacy practice.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent required, Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) preferred. Current Registered Pharmacist with the California State Board of Pharmacy required. Pharmacy Resident. Experience in pediatrics preferred.
POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period, M-F 8-5 w/weekend rotation.
