Radiology Technologist I - Radiology
SUMMARY: Competently performs a variety of standard, specialty and complex diagnostic radiographic procedures with clinical and technical accuracy. Responsibly administering ionizing radiation using fluoroscopy, computed and direct radiography (including the use of mobile c-arm and x-ray equipment) to achieve good quality studies under a variety of conditions with little or no supervision. Demonstrates sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiation physics and image production. Demonstrates appropriate use of ALARA - minimal technique parameters, collimation and correctly positions patients. Applies the profession’s code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.
REQUIREMENTS: A) a Bachelor’s Degree; or, an Associate’s Degree in Radiology with validation of a High School Diploma/GED plus graduate of formal program in Radiologic Technology; B) State of California Radiologic Technologist licensure (CRT); C) certification in Radiography (RT-R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-ARRT; D) a Fluoroscopy permit (RHF) required within 6 months of hire; E) BLS; and F) a minimum of six (6) months experience in Diagnostic Radiology. Pediatric experience preferred. Bilingual skills desirable.
POSITION DETAILS: Part Time Day Shift 40 hours per pay period; two weekends on two weekends off plus weekday shifts to make up the remaining hours. Must be available for holiday rotation as well.
