RN II - Acute Care - Neurology Clinic
SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); D) experience to correlate with Clinical Ladder. Bilingual skills desirable.Life Support Certifications Required:1) HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days; 2) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months: Cardiac Cath Lab, and Endoscopy. Within 18 months: Recovery Room/PACU and Sedation;3) Focused Pediatric Resuscitation (FPR) within 12 months: Ambulatory Treatment Center (ATC), Apollo, Charlie Mitchell Clinic, Craycroft, Day Surgery, Discovery, Endoscopy, Explorer, Heart Center Clinic, Hematology Clinic, Home Health Agency, Neurology Testing Center, Oncology Clinic, Peds Rehab, and Pulmonology Clinic;4) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months: Cardiac Cath Lab, Recovery Room/PACU, Sedation, and Surgery-General/OR
POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem, Varied hours per pay period, M - F 8:00 - 5:00 PM
