RN - Vascular Access Spec - Patient Care Support

SUMMARY: The Vascular Access Specialist is a licensed Registered Nurse who is accountable to assess and identify the vascular access needs of the patient, coordinate and provide services for peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement in the hospital setting and for outpatient referrals, and to serve as a resource to staff for ongoing monitoring, maintenance and management of potential catheter-related complications. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's policies.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor's Degree preferred. Individual must have a valid California RN license and BLS as well as a minimum three (3) years of clinical experience to include two (2) years full time equivalent pediatric experience. PICC Certification is preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Part time 60 hours per pay period.
