Technical Writer - IT Apps & Programming

SUMMARY: Write, edit, index, or revise a variety of technical, user documentation such as articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for a wide range of users. Collaborate with Applications Consultants. Systems Analysts, Senior Systems Engineers, and/or hospital staff engaged in support or use of systems to produce desired documentation and content for organizational knowledge base. This position will engage early in development/implementation or analysis phase to gain an understanding of the project or issue. Analyze requirements of project to determine types of publications needed. Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and an understanding of programming concepts, operating systems and/or networking. Will collaborate with Educational Services to develop appropriate educational materials and processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: College Degree - 4 year in a related field required. Minimum three (3) years related experience required. Minimum five (5) years increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates proficiency in skills and knowledge required to perform the job preferred. Strong technical writing experience required. Possess strong customer service and communication skills.
