Charge Nurse - Ambulatory - Ambulatory Treatment Center

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for managing the overall operations of a defined Ambulatory patient care clinic during an assigned shift. The incumbent is accountable for monitoring, evaluation, and directing patient care provided by staff, coordinating activities of the patient care unit, making staff assignments and assisting with the development and evaluation of staff members. The incumbent will assist with the recruitment and hiring of staff, evaluating staff competency and evaluating, coaching, and counseling assigned staff in concert with the Manager/Supervisor. This position practices within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's policies.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires graduation from a nursing program with a valid California Registered Nurse License as well as a Bachelor's Degree. Position also requires BLS and two (2) years full time nursing experience with pediatric experience preferred. Focused Pediatric Resuscitation (Valley Children's specific certification) required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time 80 hours per pay period, day shift.
