Child Life Specialist II - (Full Time)

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans to provide for the psychosocial, behavioral, recreational, and educational needs of hospitalized and/or outpatient children. This position is accountable for a defined patient population based upon the child's age and developmental needs for a designated period of time. Provides direction and serves as a mentor and resource to Child Life Interns, Child Life Assistants, and students.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Child Life or a related field of study (e.g. Recreation, Art, Music) with a Master's Degree preferred. Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or certification in an adjunct therapy (i.e. Recreation, Art, Music) is required. Minimum two (2) years clinical experience in a hospital based Child Life program is required. Individual must demonstrate strong skill set in assessment, goal setting, interdisciplinary care planning, program implementation, and hand-off communication.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time (80 hours per pay period)
