Diag Medical Sonographer II - Ultrasonography - PT/Days

SUMMARY: Competently performs a variety of standard, specialty and complex diagnostic sonographic procedures with little or no supervision, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions. Assists in the identification and resolution of work process issues within the department. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.Must demonstrate experience or level of competency in working with leadership to improve technical performance, implementing new technology and/or software applications, and/or improving operational efficiency within their department.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma/GED AND a graduate of a formal program in Ultrasonography that meets the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) qualifications or trained through a Radiologic Technology Program OR a College Degree - 2 year in Medical Sonography (or related field) i.e. successful completion in: ARRT Sonography Board in addition to ARDMS Certification in SPI. BLS - Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. ARDMS - American Reg of Diag Med Sonog - ARDMS certification in at least two of the following specialties:

  • Abdomen (AB)
  • Pediatric Sonography (PS)
  • Obstetrics/Gynecology (OBGYN)
  • Breast (BR)
  • Vascular Technology (VT)
  • Nuchal Translucency (NT) or
  • Musculoskeletal (MSKS)

Minimum three (3) years Diagnostic Medical Sonography experience required. Pediatric Experience Preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Part-time, 56 hours per pay period
