Mgr Interpreter and Child Life Svcs - Interpretive Services

SUMMARY: This position provides general oversight of the department operations and is accountable for direction, supervision, and planning of interpreter and child life services throughout the continuum. The Manager is accountable for position control, appropriate staffing, and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as develops best practice and service benchmarks. The Manager manages contracts with vendors including interpreting agencies, telephonic and video, and translation services. The position serves as a consultant to the organization and community on language access, cultural competency, and child life activities and operations. Under the guidance of the Director, the Manager identifies and develops effective working relationships with clinical providers to ensure patient and family needs are met.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field as well as a minimum two (2) years leadership experience. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. Ability to be self-directed and work effectively within a team environment while demonstrating innovation and initiative. Individual will possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with a large volunteer based staff, internal staff, and contract personnel and external stakeholders. This person will possess strong organization, project and time management skills, with the ability to realign priorities as situations warrant and effectively manage larger quantities of information.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time exempt level position.

PAY RANGE: $35.30-$54.50
