RCP I Per Diem - Respiratory Care Services

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for managing the basic respiratory needs of patients in the Emergency, Acute Care and Critical Care units with consistency and a minimal degree of independence under the direction of the Medical Director. The incumbent delivers patient care in an efficient manner within the scope of the Respiratory Care Practice Act and CHCC's policies.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) graduation from a one year AMA approved respiratory care program; B) an active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure; C) registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within 18 months of hire; D) a Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) credential through the NBRC-National Board for Respiratory Care within 1 year of hire into a CardioPulmonary Lab position; E) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); and F) Intubation certification within 2 years of hire. Bilingual skills desirable.

Life Support Certifications Required:1) HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days; 2) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months: NICU; 3) Focus Pediatric Resuscitation (FPR) within 12 months: All departments except NICU

POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem position with varied scheduled hours. Shift still being determined.
