RN Per Diem - Heart Center Clinic

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems, and is expected to deliver competent patient care to a full patient assignment. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's policies.

The Heart Center at Valley Children's provides the highest level of pediatric cardiac care in Central California - all in a family-centered environment. Our pediatric cardiologists offer advanced technology and state-of-the-art cardiac care for children with heart disease and heart defects, including congenital cardiovascular disease, pediatric-acquired cardiovascular disease and heart failure. Our Cardiothoracic Surgery Program, whose surgeons are from Stanford University School of Medicine, is part of one of the largest pediatric cardiothoracic surgical heart programs in North America.

REQUIREMENTS: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); D) Six months to one year of experience is required, pediatric and/or cardiology experience is highly desirable. Bilingual skills also desirable.

Life Support Certifications Required: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days

POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem, day shift, clinic open Mon-Fri and closed on weekends and holidays

LOCATION: Madera, CA
