RN - Periop - Recovery Room - PT/Days

SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

Valley Children’s Healthcare'smultidisciplinary approach creates a dynamic team of pediatric surgeons,both general and specialty-based, working together to generate optimaloutcomes. These include complex plastic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiovascularsurgery, ophthalmology, ENT, orthopaedics and urology.

REQUIREMENTS: A)a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) anactive California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); and D)experience to correlate with Clinical Ladder level. Bilingual skillsdesirable.

Life Support Certifications Required: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS)within 30 days; 2) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months and3) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months of hire or transferinto position.

POSITION DETAILS: Part-time, 46 hours per pay period, weekend and holiday call shared by staff.
