RN - Recovery Room - Part Time/Days

SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

REQUIREMENTS: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Minimum 6 months of experience and mastery of RN I performance standards and accompanying competencies. D) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); and E) experience to correlate with Clinical Ladder level. Bilingual skills desirable.

Life Support Certifications Required: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days; 2) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months and 3) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.

POSITION DETAILS: Part-time, 4 x 10-hour shifts per pay period (1030-2300) Weekend and holiday call shared by staff and must have the ability to return to the hospital within a 30-minute time-frame when on call.

PAY RANGE: New Grad $34.66 - $61.20 / RN II - RN IV $37.09 - $61.20
