RN - Rheum/Immunology Clinic - Part Time/Days

Caring for children with rheumatic and inflammatory diseases, our physicians are skilled in diagnosis, treatment, long term monitoring of therapeutic effectiveness and coordination of care. We have one of the largest populations with periodic fever syndromes in the country. Our team offers a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and collaborates closely with multiple practices, including Nephrology, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Physical and Occupational Therapy.

SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN required; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); D) experience to correlate with Clinical Ladder level. Bilingual skills desirable.

Life Support Certifications Required:1) HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days; 2) Focused Pediatric Resuscitation (FPR) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position; ;3) Pediatric Emergency Assess, Rec & Stabilization (PEARS) required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.

POSITION DETAILS: Part Time, 32 hours per pay period
