Job Description

We’re seeking a highly organized Payroll Supervisor to join our General Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Manager of General Accounting, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing payroll operations for both Hospital and Physician Entity payrolls, while leading a dedicated team. This position ensures timely, accurate, and compliant bi-weekly payroll processing, supports payroll system integrity, and maintains adherence to applicable regulations. You'll also guide staff development and contribute to financial accuracy through meticulous reconciliation and audit support.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations, including bi-weekly processing
  • Train, mentor, and supervise payroll staff to ensure workflow efficiency
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Oversee payroll system maintenance and assist with upgrades and improvements
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in payroll, accounting, and tax filings-preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Strong understanding of computerized payroll systems and payroll tax reporting, including Forms 941 and W-2
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with time and attendance systems preferred
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
