Operational Database Administrator

SUMMARY: As a member of the core team charged with successfully implementing the integrated electronic medical record (Epic), the Systems Analyst modifies moderate to complex applications programs from detailed specifications. Primary responsibilities will include the direct system support of assigned computer applications and projects. This support will require knowledge of application\system functionality, configuration parameters, web-based technologies, database management, data reporting, systems connectivity and integration of applications with other systems. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs. Assigned tasks and/or projects may involve, Systems Connectivity, System front-end user interface to new or existing database using a combination of below or other languages to make business/clinical applications accessible. Competent to work on most phases of applications/systems programming activities, but may require instruction and guidance in phases. Supports IT Professionals with the day to day operations of monitoring, managing/resolving priority requests, scheduled system/application patches and system maintenance. Responsible for reports and dashboards development. Supports on-call requirements, process and responsibilities. Will be required to attend training and become an Epic certified professional. This is a permanent position that will be dedicated to ongoing support of Epic post implementation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: College Degree - 4 year related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. EPIC Certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer into position required. Minimum two (2) years related work experience.
