About Us:

The award-winning Orthopaedic Clinic at Valley Children’s Hospital sees patients as young as infants to young adults and the team treats all aspects of children’s orthopaedic needs on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Performing approximately 2,000 pediatric orthopaedic surgeries and seeing more than 32,000 outpatient visits a year, Valley Children’s team of experienced board-certified pediatric orthopaedic surgeons specialize in the treatment of complex conditions such as congenital deformities of the upper and lower extremities, spinal disorders, sports-related injuries and neuromuscular diseases. Our Orthopaedics department was one of the first in the nation to implement an urgent care center that allots additional time and resources to handle anticipated influxes in pediatrician referrals and unscheduled appointments. These include traumatic injuries from simple falls on the playground to major motor vehicle collisions. Based on experience, the practice developed the concept that we could predict – and therefore better prepare for – increases in patients who require immediate attention.

With more than 670 physicians and 3,500 staff, Valley Children’s Healthcare delivers high-quality, comprehensive care to more than 1.3 million children across Central California. Our 358-bed stand-alone children’s hospital and network of specialty care centers and primary care practices offer advanced pediatric services - from cancer and blood disorders to heart care and neonatal intensive care, serving children with conditions ranging from routine to rare and complex. Beyond clinical care, Valley Children’s is also a catalyst for community health - partnering with schools, nonprofits and public agencies to expand access, promote wellness and support the long-term success of children and families throughout the region.
