Cell Therapy Lab Program Director - Cell Therapy Processing

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Laboratory Director, the Cell Therapy Lab Program Director will oversee the daily operations, strategic planning, and administrative management of the cell therapy processing lab at Valley Children's Hospital. This role involves developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensuring that the lab functions at the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Program Director will collaborate with clinical, research, and administrative teams to support the hospital's mission of advancing pediatric cell therapies, including bone marrow transplants and CAR-T cell therapies. This role will implement and monitor the Quality Management Plan (QMP) to ensure the highest level of care and safety for pediatric patients. Ensures the lab complies with all relevant regulatory standards, including FACT-JACIE standards, FDA and applicable laws.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum seven (7) years in a clinical or research laboratory setting required
  • Minimum three (3) years leadership experience required
  • Experience in a pediatric healthcare setting is preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Doctorate - PhD in a relevant field (e.g. biomedical sciences, cell biology, molecular biology) required

  • Full-time

PAY RANGE:

  • $72.50 - $113.65
