Charge Master Analyst

SUMMARY: Responsible for the ongoing accuracy of the charge master to ensure appropriate charge capture, accurate reimbursement, and compliance with relevant billing regulations. Reviews and consults on charge capture workflow, including new service line development and pricing, to ensure effective and efficient charge capture at all times. This position is integral in maintaining revenue integrity.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a high school diploma or GED and must possess experience in researching, interpreting and applying Medi-Cal, Medicare and other third party payer regulations. Must possess proficiency in the use of personal computers and experience in the use of software used in a typical office environment (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, etc.)

Must possess the following:

  • strong conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills
  • strong project management skills including the ability to adapt frequently to changing work priorities
  • strong written and verbal communications skills
  • the ability to achieve results in an independent manner
  • comfortable operating in a collaborate environment

Certification in one of the following :

  • CPC - Certified Professional Coder
  • RHIT - Reg Health Information Tech
  • RHIA - Reg Health Information Admin
  • CCS - Certified Coding Specialist
