Clinic Lead-VCMG - Eagle Oaks Specialty Center (Bakersfield) - Full-time/Days
Job Description
Under Practice Manager supervision, the Clinic Lead performs duties relative to the day-to-day front and back office operations of the department. Supports the practice manager in maintaining a patient centric focus. Responsible for assisting with physician schedules, building scheduling templates, and supporting the clinic workflow process. In partnership with the Practice Manager, monitor metrics such as patient access, no show rates, timely scheduling of patient follow ups, AccuReg results, payor selection, patient wait times, and authorizations as well as several other indicators. Maintains proficiency as a super user in the clinic's EMR systems. Provides support to frontline staff engaged in a variety of work related to the front and back end processes. Responsible for assisting the Practice Manager with training and development of the staff. This position will also assist in maintaining the coding, billing and receivables function for the clinic office.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum six (6) months experience working in a healthcare environment as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
- Medical Assistant Certification OR one year experience in a healthcare environment as a Medical Assistant required
- BLS - Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
