Clinical Coordinator - Acute Care Float Pool/Central Staffing
Job Description
Under the direction and in collaboration with the department leadership, this position serves as a consultant in staff competency and is accountable for coordinating and promoting a continuous learning environment that supports ongoing clinical staff development. The incumbent will collaborate with the leadership team in identifying and reviewing nursing clinical practice and procedures, equipment and processes that will enhance clinical operations and patient care outcomes. The coordinator will determine Central Staffing specific learner needs, planning, implementation, and evaluation of competency to assist with annual performance reviews. This position practices within the scope of the Nursing Practice act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Healthcare policies.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years full time or equivalent current pediatric clinical experience required
- Minimum 1 year experience in critical care with maintained competencies
- Bilingual skills desirable
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Completion of an accredited 2-year nursing program, bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
- HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position
- Magnet recognized national certification preferred
