Job Description
SUMMARY: Accountable for planning, promoting, coordinating, implementing and evaluating educational activities. Accountable, in collaboration with area leadership teams, for promoting a continuous learning environment that supports ongoing staff development for assigned clinical areas. This position practices within the scope of the Respiratory Care Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three years experience in Respiratory Care required.
- Minimum of one year experience in Pediatric Respiratory Care preferred.
- Demonstrates the skills necessary to plan, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs using appropriate educational principles.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Two-year college degree in an approved Respiratory Therapy program required, or Four-year college degree in a health-related field within five years of placement in position required.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer into the position required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position required.
- Maintain membership in appropriate professional organizations required.
