Clinical Imaging Specialist - Radiology Administration

SUMMARY: The Clinical Imaging Specialist functions in a role of an expert clinician, educator, leader and administrator. In collaboration with the healthcare team, the CMIS monitors the clinical education of staff and provides clinical support to improve patient care, employee engagement and retention and patient satisfaction. With in-depth knowledge and skills, advanced judgment and clinical experience in a medical imaging practice, the CMIS sphere of influence includes the training and education of staff, the care of the imaging patient/family and providing solutions for complex systems and processes. Serves as a role model, educator, clinical specialist to monitor and improve imaging quality and safety and patient experience.This position practices within the scope of the California Department of Public Health and in accordance with Valley Children's policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: College Degree - 4 year In a health related field required. Masters Degree preferred. BLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer into position required. CRT - CA Radiologic Technologist License required. Minimum four (4) years supervising the training and education of imaging staff required. Extensive advanced knowledge of imaging principles, practices, supportive technology, and systems.
