Credentialing Medical Staff Specialist - Full Time
Job Description
This position is accountable for the verification and analysis of all applicant information and reappointment information in accordance with The Joint Commission, state, federal, Bylaws and related policies. The position interfaces with medical staff officers, hospital leadership, lead medical staff specialist and department staff. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all information.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three (3) years hospital or managed care, with exposure to credentialing required
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a medical staff services preferred
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and duties and ability to work independently and with discretion
- Medical terminology preferred
- Computer literate skills with working knowledge of word processing and database operation
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
