Diag Medical Sonographer I - Ultrasonography (2187)

SUMMARY: Performs a variety of standard and specialty pediatric and obstetric diagnostic sonographic procedures with accuracy, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions with little supervision. Assists in the identification and resolution of work process issues within the department. Applies the profession’s code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) an Associate's Degree in Ultrasonography (or other Imaging related field) or High School Diploma/GED plus graduate of formal accredited program in Ultrasonography; B) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credentials in 1 specialty, either Abdomen (RDMS-AB) or Obstetrics/Gynecology(RDMS-OBGYN) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography-ARDMS within 6 months of hire; C) BLS; and D) 0-6 months experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Pediatric experience preferred. Bilingual skills preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Part-time, 8 hours shifts, 64 hours per pay period, PM/Night shift, every Sunday plus additional PM/Night shifts during the week. Must be able to work holidays/weekends.
