Diag Medical Sonographer PD - Ultrasonography

SUMMARY: Competently performs a variety of standard, specialty and complex diagnostic sonographic procedures with little or no supervision, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions. Assists in the identification and resolution of work process issues within the department. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) an Associate's Degree in Ultrasonography (or other Imaging related field) and High School Diploma/GED Or Graduate from a formal program in Ultrasound that meets the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) qualifications or trained through a Radiologic Technology Program. B) ARDMS certification in at least two of the following specialties: Abdomen (AB), Pediatric Sonography (PS), Obstetrics/Gynecology (OBGYN), Breast (BR), Vascular Technology (VT), Nuchal Translucency (NT), or Musculoskeletal (MSKS)required. Minimum three (3) years Diagnostic Medical Sonography experience required. Pediatric experience preferred. BLS required.
