Job Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President, Medical Group and Ancillary Operations, this position is accountable to oversee the execution of strategic and operational elements of advanced and specialty nursing practices across the Ambulatory division. In collaboration with Valley Children's Healthcare CNO and Nursing support services, the Incumbent's accountabilities include the development and maintenance of nursing policies and Standard Operating Procedures, participation in developing and monitoring Ambulatory nursing onboarding and continuing education, clinical evaluation of all Ambulatory nursing staff, and ensuring ongoing compliance with all nursing standards including the Magnet program.Additionally, working in a dyad relationship with medical leadership, this position has operational responsibility for all services within his/her jurisdiction as determined by the Vice President, Medical Group and Ancillary Operations, including direct accountability for the leaders and staff responsible for the day to day operations of the services. Working in collaboration with medical, clinical and non-clinical staff, ensures efficient and effective patient care delivery and customer satisfaction for his/her services. Maintains fiscal accountability through the development, implementation and monitoring of operating and capital budgets, and has 24 hour accountability for the services.
Qualifications:
Education
- College Degree - 4 year In related field (required)
- Masters Degree In related field (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing California Licensed; or reciprocity must be obtained if applicable (required)
Work Experience
- Minimum three (3) years Management experience. (required)
- Minimum five (5) years Increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job (preferred)
