Director Marketing & Communications Strategy - Marketing & Communications

SUMMARY: Reporting to the executive over Marketing and Communications and in collaboration with key members of the executive team, the Director of Marketing and Communications Strategy leads the development and implementation of Valley Children's Healthcare’s marketing and communications strategies and plans. This position plays a key role in visioning, positioning and differentiating Valley Children's Healthcare in the marketplace and develops plans that support strategic and business priorities of the organization, including: enhancing its local, regional and national reputation; developing markets and service lines; recruitment and retention of workforce; promoting pediatric health and well-being in the region; and being the philanthropic cause of choice.

Key areas of responsibility include marketing strategy, brand management, market analysis, advertising/media buying, digital marketing, website management, sports marketing, creative development, project/workflow management, public relations strategy, social media strategy and other corporate communications strategies. The position takes a data and insights-driven decision-making approach to increase understanding and knowledge of stakeholders/audiences internally and throughout the markets we serve and to develop plans and strategies based on that data and analysis.

An experienced strategist with demonstrated results, the Director must have a track record of effectively prioritizing competing demands, developing relationships across the organization and into the community, and a strong skill set to communicate and collaborate with operational business leaders, physician leaders, business development leaders and other key stakeholders. This role requires strong influencing skills as well as the ability to develop positive internal and external relationships for success.

The position collaborates with the Public Relations Officer and provides leadership and direction to the Marketing team, including the Manager of Marketing and the Marketing Project Manager, and manages multiple outside vendors and partners. The Director ensures clear communication and effective collaboration between Marketing and other departments throughout the organization. The position is responsible for annual budget planning and managing of department and enterprise-wide marketing and communications budget.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration or equivalent field of study, master's degree preferred; B) Minimum of ten (10) years in marketing and business development with at least three (3) years in an administrative or executive position, with a successful track record of marketing strategy and execution.

Experience in the healthcare industry and digital marketing required. Experience in account management preferred. Demonstrated abilities in marketing strategy and execution.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time exempt level position

PAY RANGE: $64.15 - $84.26

LOCATION: Madera, CA
