Dispensing Audiologist - Audiology
This position is accountable for the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with auditory disorders/hearing impairments and dispensing hearing aids. Completes diagnostic assessment to rule out or define hearing impairment. Completes hearing aid and assistive device selection and dispensation. Develops, implements, and evaluates developmentally/culturally appropriate education to meet the learning needs of the patient/family.

As part of the region’s premier pediatric hospital, you’ll assess, treat, and manage hearing health for a diverse patient population, from newborns to young adults.🎧 What You’ll Do:- Deliver essential diagnostic audiology services, including behavioral audiometry, tympanometry, otoacoustic emission, and Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing- Dispense and manage a wide range of amplification devices including traditional hearing aids and bone conduction devices, with the opportunity to work with cochlear implants, if desired- Provide family-centered counseling to support each patient’s preferred communication strategies🤝 Collaborative, Holistic Care:Our audiologists work closely with a wide network of professionals, from school districts and social workers to oncology teams, operating room staff, craniofacial specialists, and cochlear implant programs. EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three (3) years pediatric experience, or five years of related experience preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Audiology required
- Doctorate in Audiology preferred
- Active Audiologist license required
- California Hearing Aid Dispenser (CAHAD) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
- American Speech Language Association (ASHA) preferred
