EMU Monitoring Technician - Full-time/Evenings

Job Summary:
The EMU Monitoring Technician is an unlicensed, multi-skilled team member who provides continuous observation and monitoring of patients undergoing Video EEG (VEEG) studies in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). This role focuses on patient safety, seizure recognition, communication, and documentation while working closely with EEG technologists, nurses, and physicians.Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma (required)
- Program Graduation from a patient care program (i.e. MA, CNA, EMT) (required)
- Associates Degree Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic (ND) program (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
Work Experience
- Minimum one (1) year Work experience in Neurology, EMU, EEG, or continuous patient observation settings (preferred)
Skills and Abilities
- ASET LTM 100 certification (required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position)
- Ability to work in a team environment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner
- Medical terminology skills preferred
- Bilingual Skills Preferred.
Additional Shift Information
- Shift Hours - 1500-2330
