Executive Director Foundation - Foundation

SUMMARY: Reporting to the President of Foundation, this position participates as a member of the Foundation executive leadership team, responsible for the execution of the Foundation's operational, financial, and capital plans and contributes to the development of the organization's philanthropic strategic plans. Responsible for all aspects of VCH Foundation's financial and administrative functions, and leads the Major and Planned Giving, Annual Giving, Grants, and Children's Miracle Network Teams to insure effective coordination and execution of all aspects of the philanthropic program from prospect identification through cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and recognition.

Provides essential leadership and guidance to the Foundation staff to maximize productivity, set performance standards, evaluate performance, and implement professional development activities. Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the Foundation, to include submission of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the Foundation. Maintains positive relationships with Foundation Board members to jointly meet the organization's fundraising objectives. Shared with the Foundation President, responsible for managing the Foundation's relationships with key public and private philanthropic partners. Provides executive-level representation for the Foundation internally to Valley Children's Healthcare and represents the organization externally in collaboration with the Foundation President.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree with a Master's degree preferred. Minimum five (5) years experience in management, accounting, or fund development activity is required. Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Personal skill and experience in the financial and administrative oversight, identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospective donors and the management of special event staff and volunteers.
Demonstrable ability to lead by personal example, to train and coach others, and to set and achieve strategic budget and fund raising goals.
Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis, fund raising techniques, policies, procedures, and applicable laws and
regulations pertaining to fund raising.
Excellent strategic, managerial, public speaking, motivational, marketing, analytical, selling, organizational, interpersonal and writing and verbal communication skills.
A level of professional maturity, judgment and decisiveness to motivate fellow staff and volunteers and to inspire confidence among donor prospects and their professional advisors.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time exempt level position

PAY RANGE: $75.15 - $120.90

LOCATION: Madera, CA
