Fund Development Program Director - Foundation
Job Description
Responsible for leading a development team, soliciting major gifts, planned gifts, and working with Senior Grant Administrator on specified grant opportunities. Seeking funds from individuals, corporations, private foundations, and specified quasi-government funding sources with an annual revenue objective in excess of $1,000,000. Manages relationships with prospective donors and identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards these donors in support of network-wide funding priorities with negotiated revenue goals annually. Monitors all prospects to ensure positive and purposeful contacts and donor relations. Will work with foundation's executive director on related operational support and coordination. Work with foundation president on fund development strategy, planning and execution. Expected to contribute and be active on the foundation's management team by providing direction and management of the fund development team to support staff in meeting their revenue goals. Must be a highly energetic professional with management skills and experience. A demonstrated track record of building donor relationships and demonstrated ability to close significant gifts or sales.

Our network offers highly specialized medical and surgical services to care for children with conditions ranging from common to the highly complex at our 358-bed stand-alone children’s hospital that includes 28 regional NICU beds. EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three (3) years of successful experience including individual, corporate, foundation, and/or government solicitation; or equivalent sales experience required
- Ability to understand the needs and interests of leadership and major gift donors in order to develop relationships between them and the hospital
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to successfully manage multi-functional or diverse areas of responsibility
- Successful experience in securing appointments as well as developing cultivation and solicitation strategies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments
- Demonstrated track record of building donor relationships and ability to close gifts in excess of $50,000 and above
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- College Degree - 4 year or equivalent experience required
- CDL - California Drivers License required
- CAR INS - Car Insurance required
