Job Description

Under general supervision, this position is accountable to perform clerical duties for Human Resources involving compiling and arranging data, making standard computations, processing and coding documents, and maintaining records and files. May greet customers and other visitors into the work unit and/or schedule appointments and facilitate communications via phone, written, or verbal. Processes, tracks, enters data into HRIS and administers one or more of the following: regulatory leaves, employment transactions, licensure/certifications. Assists with the coordination of physician interviews and relocation to include preparing interview schedules, facilitating travel arrangements and preparing informational packets. Also includes making lodging or travel arrangements for per diem physicians. Manages leave of absences. Processes entries, changes and updates in HRIS system as it relates to employees' data and payroll processing. This position is to be knowledgeable of the various human resource and labor relations regulations (ADA, FMLA, Wage & Hour, etc). Has routine contact with employees to answer HR related questions. Ensures consistency within the organization to minimize legal risk, and facilitate efforts to address root causes of human resource issues.

The Physician Practice Services ("PPS") department serves as a Management Services Organization to Valley Children's Medical Group and affiliated medical groups. This includes Valley Children's Specialty Medical Group ("SMG"), Valley Children's Primary Care Group ("PCG") and other physician groups contracted within the Medical Group for billing management, practice development, strategic planning, physician resource planning, recruiting, and practice corporate governance. PPS also supports human resource management, physician recruiting, employee benefits administration, credentialing support, risk management, financial management and other administrative needs for SMG and PCG. The PPS department is designed to align all communications between all Medical Group departments, and Valley Children’s Hospital departments including those providing patient care, patient services, and support services, as well as community agencies, ensuring efficient, effective, and continuous patient care.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three (3) years related experience, including at least two years in a Human Resources setting required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills and experience with HRIS Systems required.
  • Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate high degree of professionalism and sound decision making skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required.
