Job Title: Interventional Radiology Tech I - Interventional Radiology

Job Description: Under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist and Imaging Leadership, the IR Technologist is responsible for the overall clinical operational execution of the IR service. IR technologists assist in a variety of specialty and complex interventional and diagnostic procedures with proficiency. Technologist orders and maintains supplies, operates radiologic equipment, and sets exposure parameters during interventional and diagnostic procedures according to state and federal radiation safety regulations following ALARA principles. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum six (6) months Radiology experience preferred
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Pediatric Experience preferred

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required AND a graduate of a formal program in Radiologic Technology OR a College Degree - 2 year in Radiology
  • College Degree - 4 year preferred
  • BLS - Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
  • CRT - CA Radiologic Technologist License required
  • RT-R - ARRT Reg Tech Radiography required
  • RHF - Rad Tech/Fluoroscopy License required

ADDITIONAL SHIFT INFORMATION:

  • Day shifts with Weekend/Holiday/Call
