IRB Analyst - Research - Full Time

SUMMARY: The IRB Analyst is responsible for analyzing and processing submissions for continuing reviews and modifications to IRB approved research. The individual will evaluate applications to ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, state laws, and institutional policies and procedures. The individual acts as a liaison between investigators, study staff, and IRB members to obtain all necessary review materials. The IRB analyst ensures submissions receive an appropriate level of review (e.g. full board, expedited, exempt) and ensures IRB reviewers with appropriate expertise are assigned to the submission. The analyst prepares board meeting agendas, and assists with recording meeting activities in meeting minutes, maintains an electronic database of studies, and tracks educational and compliance activities. The individual also assists with performance improvement projects and may assist with IRB audits.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a four year college degree or two year college degree and a minimum of two years of equivalent experience. Minimum of two years of research related experience is required. Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong customer service orientation, proven problem solving abilities, demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Requires knowledge of regulations governing human research.

POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period. Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
