Leave Coordinator - Employee Relations
SUMMARY: Working under general supervision, this position is responsible for effectively administering the organization's leaves of absence and other paid time off programs (Kin Care, Intermittent Leaves) in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Serves as the primary contact for leader and staff for leave of absence inquiries and has responsibility for coordinating all new leaves, extension requests and facilitating the return-to-work process. The Leave Coordinator communicates regularly with staff and leadership at all levels of the organization regarding the status of employee leaves of absence and must respond timely and accurately to vendors, outside agencies, and representatives from regulatory bodies during the course of his/her duties.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three (3) years related experience preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a Human Resources setting preferred
- Proficient in technology including Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Utilizes critical thinking skills and attention to detail on complex and sensitive subject matter with legal implications
- Ability to exercise judgement in accordance with well-defined policies and procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
EDUCATION/LICENCES/CERTIFICATIFICATIONS:
- College degree - 4 year or equivalent experience
POSITION DETAILS: Full time 80 hours per pay period
PAY: $31.90 - $47.30
LOCATION: Madera, CA
