About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Ambulatory Operations Manager to oversee multi-departmental clinic operations. This high-impact leadership role will ensure clinical, financial, and operational excellence while promoting timely access to care and an exceptional patient experience. You’ll serve as the primary liaison between ambulatory teams and medical staff, aligning operations with organizational goals and fostering effective physician engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations across multiple ambulatory departments, focusing on access, staffing, workflows, and financial performance
- Serve as the operational point of contact for physicians and medical leadership; coordinate meetings to align goals and discuss challenges
- Provide performance data and analytics to support quality improvement and strategic initiatives
- Address barriers to care and optimize patient flow
- Champion projects that elevate physician satisfaction, clinic efficiency, and care delivery
- Manage capital assets and promote cross-departmental best practices to achieve operational excellence
- Ensure accurate and timely charge capture
- Foster a positive and accountable team culture with strong physician-staff relationships

The award-winning Neurology team at Valley Children’s Hospital provides diagnostic services, medical treatment, and follow-up care to infants, children, and adolescents who have suspected or confirmed neurological disorders. Our board-certified neurologists and epileptologists manage and treat a variety of patients, including those with seizures, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders and other neurologic conditions. NAEC Level 4 Epilepsy Center Badge - Valley Children's Hospital is also accredited by the NAEC as a level 4 epilepsy center. Level 4 epilepsy centers have the professional expertise and facilities to provide high-level, comprehensive medical evaluation and treatment for patients with complex epilepsy. Our neurology team specializes in a variety of conditions from seizures and epilepsy, to neuromuscular and movement disorders. Our teams are experts in advanced diagnostic procedures and utilize both the latest technology as well as innovative programs to provide the best treatment plan for each patient.

Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive supervisory or management experience
- Healthcare leadership experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage P&L, lead strategic initiatives, and motivate cross-functional teams
- Exceptional analytical, decision-making, communication, and conflict management skills
- Track record of delivering innovative solutions and measurable results in a dynamic healthcare environment
Education/Licensure/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience with high school diploma/GED) required
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred
