Manager Patient Safety

JOB SUMMARY: This position reports to the Director of Quality Risk and Patient Safety and is accountable for management of clinical risk management to meet the goals, mission and vision of the hospital. Implements and manages the risk and patient safety program for the prevention and management of professional liability and patient harm for the hospital. Responsible for pro-active risk assessment and safety improvement initiatives, facilitation of Failure Mode and Effects analysis and Root-Cause Analyses. The incumbent will analyze patient safety data analysis to reduce patient risk. This position will also work to resolve patient complaints to increase patient satisfaction and reduce hospital liability. This position is responsible for collaborating with the Manager of Quality.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) Bachelor's Degree in related field, Master’s Degree preferred B) a minimum of five years of progressive and successful experience in quality & patient safety and risk management; C) a minimum of four year of recent experience or knowledge of healthcare clinical risk management; D) active CA Registered Nurse Licensure required. Professional licensure or risk management certification preferred, polished clinical expertise and advanced healthcare degree are preferred. Demonstrated progressive computer, statistical analysis, excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills are required. Demonstrated ability to affect organization change is key to success in this role. Able to facilitate and lead group meetings.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time, exempt, 80 hours per pay period, day shift

PAY RANGE: $60.00 - $93.70

LOCATION: Madera, CA
