Job Description
This position is accountable for the Sterile Processing (SPD) and Central Equipment Distribution (CED) departments, which provides services for Perioperative Services as well as the entire facility, and offsite satellite NICU's and clinics. Responsible for the interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, time cards, schedules, disciplinary actions, and terminations as needed, of all staff personnel. Responsible for management of the instrumentation, repairs of instrumentation and medical devices, which may include Periop, patient care units, and clinics. Also responsible for the daily supply procurement and inventory management of the SPD and CED departments, in collaboration with MDC. Provides complete purchase requisitions for all operational instrumentation/medical devices/supplies/equipment. Researches and obtains financial quotes for capital instrumentation, medical devices, equipment, and other specialty purchases. The Manager functions as a member of interdisciplinary and interdepartmental committees and task forces for hospital process improvement plans, and takes accountability as applicable.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum five (5) years progressively responsible experience in Sterile Processing or in a Surgical environment required
- Minimum five (5) years management experience preferred
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- College degree - 4 year preferred
- High school diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
- Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) required
