Neurosciences Medical Director
Job Summary:
Valley Children’s Medical Group is seeking a visionary physician leader to serve as Medical Director of Neurosciences, guiding the continued growth and strategic direction of a comprehensive pediatric neurosciences program. Serving as the tertiary referral center for California’s Central Valley, Valley Children’s offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team delivering advanced neurological and epilepsy care, including within the region’s only Level IV Epilepsy center.The Medical Director will partner closely with hospital leadership, physicians, and advanced practice providers to drive program development, quality improvement initiatives, and operational excellence across neurology, neurosurgery, neurodiagnostic, and related pediatric subspecialties.

Opportunity Highlights:
Lead and expand a growing Pediatric Neurosciences Program serving a large and diverse regional population
Our Neuroscience program includes comprehensive epilepsy clinic, RNS clinic, neurocutaneous, neuro-oncology, neuromuscular, septicity clinic, and neurogenetics.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pediatric neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, neuroradiologists, neurogenetics, and rehabilitation specialists
Guide clinical strategy, program development, and service line growth
Advance clinical research, innovation, and academic partnerships
Influence quality, patient safety, and outcomes across neurosciences services
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the neurosciences service line
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand pediatric neurological care
Foster collaboration among neurology, neurosurgery, neurodiagnostic, neuro-oncology, rehabilitation, and related subspecialties
Lead quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
Partner with executive leadership on program growth and regional outreach
Qualifications:
MD or DO with board certification in Pediatric Neurology and Neurophysiology
Fellowship training in epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology with demonstrated expertise in epilepsy surgery programs
At least 5 years of epilepsy surgery
Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical or academic medical setting
Strong background in program development and multidisciplinary collaboration
Eligible for medical licensure in California

Salary Range: $301,000 - $366,000 not including Leadership
