Occupational Therapist II - NICU

JOB SUMMARY: Evaluates neonatal and infant development including the sequence of skills needed to be successful in oral feeding. Uses cue-based feeding approach to support development of oral feeding skills. Creates individualized treatment and educational plans from admit forward. Provides patient/family counseling and training to promote developmental care and positive long term outcomes. Consults and works closely with medical team and allied health professionals to provide family-centered care environment and maximize patient potential. Participates in a variety of professional growth activities intended to develop and improve patient care throughout the NICU.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required, Master's Degree preferred. Current California Occupational Therapy license. Current BLS certification required. Current certification in the National Board of Occupational Therapist is required. Minimum of two years of pediatric experience required. Previous experience in a NICU environment and infant feeding is strongly preferred. Will consider a new grad who completed a Level II fieldwork in the NICU.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time, exempt position.

PAY RANGE: $44.65-$64.80

LOCATION: Madera, CA
