Patient Safety Coordinator Registered Nurse - Patient Safety

Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Hospital's overall patient safety and clinical risk management program. Accountable for: 1) supporting the risk and patient safety program; 2) supporting the organization's performance improvement process; and 3) proactively identifying potential risk and safety improvement initiatives. Investigates specific areas of concern as identified by leadership. Provides consultation and assistance to medical, administrative, and other staff on patient safety, risk management, performance improvement and other quality of care issues; translates data into actionable information; and participates with the customer experience process for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care and services provided to patients and families. Assists in the identification of trends, formulating conclusions, and making recommendations for improvement.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience required
  • Minimum 4 years current experience or knowledge of healthcare regulations including TJC, Title XXII and other regulatory standards required

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
  • Certified Board Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS) preferred
