Patient Surgical Coordinator - Gastroenterology Clinic - Full-time/Days

About Us:
The award-winning Gastroenterology Clinic at Valley Children’s Hospital specializes in the diagnosis and management of infants, children, and adolescents with gastrointestinal and nutrition disorders. The department offers focused programs for many gastrointestinal conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, motility disorders, esophageal reflux, gastritis, gastrointestinal bleeding, esophagitis and unspecified abdominal pain. 

Job Summary:

Accountable for scheduling complex patient procedures and/or surgery as well as patient education associated with the procedure preparation; also responsible to secure funding and pre-authorization as needed for the procedure. May also coordinate schedule development, physician availability and associate patient chart maintenance.

Qualifications:

Education

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)

Work Experience

• Minimum two (2) years Medical setting (required)

Skills and Abilities

• Computer Skills Proficient with office computer systems.
