Our level II and level III satellite NICUs (Fresno, Merced & Hanford) are staffed with Valley Children’s team of experts to provide patients the opportunity to receive treatment closer to home. The nurses in these satellite units are trained to attend high-risk deliveries and resuscitate babies in the delivery room if needed. Our NICU is ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in Neonatology by U.S. News & World Report for 2023-2024- the seventh such ranking for our NICU.
