PNS Coordinator - Prenatal Screening - Full Time

SUMMARY: The Prenatal Screening Program (PNS) is a statewide Prenatal Program for the detection of specific birth defects. The PNS Coordinator is responsible for follow up on all cases assigned to site CCC 45 on a daily basis by the Genetic Disease Screening Program of the California Department of Public Health. Responsibilities include overseeing the daily report, communication with and reporting results to ordering clinicians, following up on referrals to assigned prenatal diagnostic centers, and entering computer data. Providing educational in-services to the public and to prenatal health care professionals is also required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires a bachelor's degree and a valid California RN license and experience in OB/Maternal Child Health or Public Health; OR a Master's Degree of Genetic Counseling program OR health related Master's Degree AND two years’ experience with Prenatal, Maternal Child Health, or Genetic Services.
  • Bachelor's Degree and CA RN licensure required OR ABGC (American Board Genetic Counselors) Diplomat Board Certified or Board Eligible Status required.
  • For RN's: Minimum of six months experience in Obstetric, Maternal Child Health, Public Health, or Genetic Services required.
  • For health-related master's degrees: Minimum of two years’ experience in Prenatal, Maternal Child Health, or Genetic Services required.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 80 hours per pay period. Some overnight travel may be required.

PAY RANGE: $49.00-$74.00

LOCATION: Madera, CA
